About EMS Fitness

Whole Body Electro Muscle Stimulation training (WB-EMS) activates your body by mimicking signals that the brain sends to the muscles to contract during traditional exercise. The muscles can’t determine whether the signal is coming from the brain or the impulses coming through the miha bodytec device, but either way they contract! This makes EMS a fast and easy fitness solution for increasing muscle strength and performance.

EMS is a scientifically proven whole body training solution and is FDA CLEARED for exercise and physical medicine (physical therapy and sports rehabilitation). EMS Sessions consist of low impact functional movements and are always conducted by an EMS certified trainer. EMS has proven results in people of all ages and fitness ability with numerous published scientific studies to support its efficacy.

The benefits of Whole Body EMS are endless. Studies have shown that EMS training increases agility, endurance, and strength while at the same time decreasing tension and back pain.

Delivers Maximum Results in Minimal Time

Due to the full body activation and intensity of electro muscle stimulation training sessions only need to be conducted 1x per week for 20 minutes equaling the benefits of 2.5 hours of conventional strength training.

Minimizes Strain on Musculoskeletal System

Unlike traditional weight training, EMS uses electrical impulses to directly stimulate muscle contractions. This low-impact training eliminates the need for lifting external weights, which can put stress on joints, bones, and muscles.

Reduces Fat

Coastal Fit WB-EMS stimulates muscle contractions, which, when combined with proper diet and exercise, can lead to building muscle mass. Muscle tissue burns more calories at rest than fat tissue, potentially increasing your basal metabolic rate (BMR) and calorie burning throughout the day causing the body to burn fat longer.

Creates Body Symmetry

EMS achieves body symmetry by evenly and simultaneously strengthening 98% of the body's muscles which traditional strength training cannot do.

Improves Strength Faster

During an EMS session, the impulses activate over 98% of your muscles simultaneously throughout all major muscle groups. Each muscle reacts with 85 contractions per second - compared to 1-2 contractions per second in one muscle group at a time during traditional strength training.

Relaxes Muscle Tension

Coastal Fit WB-EMS can induce muscle contractions, which may increase blood flow to the stimulated areas. This increased circulation can help remove metabolic waste products like lactic acid, which can contribute to muscle fatigue and tension. This increased circulation also boosts your immune system and allows for vital organs to work more efficiently.

What to Expect

Your first EMS training session will be a unique and transformative experience.
Here’s what you can generally expect:

01

Your First Visit

On your first visit to our luxury EMS Studio, we will discuss your health history, access your fitness level, and determine what your fitness goals are. We will personalize your workout to fit your specific needs. Our sole mission is to help you achieve your fitness goals much faster than you can with traditional workouts.

02

Before We Start

Your initial session will begin with your Certified EMS trainer explaining how EMS works and its potential benefits. We want you to feel completely comfortable with the fundamentals of EMS before you begin your first training. You will then be provided special undergarments to be worn under your suit during the session.

03

Get Suitted

A major aspect of EMS training is our specialized suits that you wear during the sessions. These specially made fitted suits have electrodes that deliver 85 muscle contractions per second while activating 98% of your muscle fibers. These electrodes are strategically placed on all your major muscle groups to achieve the maximum benefit of Electro Muscle Stimulation training. We will explain every step, so you fully understand the entire process from start to finish.

04

Preparation

Your first step of training is to do an Impulse Familiarization. This will calibrate the EMS device based on your individual needs and will get you completely acclimated to the impulses that you will feel during your session. Prior to your EMS session starting, we will go through a brief warm-up to prepare your muscles for the electrical stimulation.

05

Your Session

Now comes the core of our EMS training. Your session will consist of a series of basic exercises and movements with the electrical stimulation enhancing your muscle contractions. As always, your Certified EMS Trainer will be there with you every step of the way. We will be guiding you through each exercise ensuring proper form and maximizing the effectiveness of EMS. After the main session, there will be a cool-down period to help your muscles relax. This will involve stretching or low-intensity exercises.

06

Review and Schedule

At the conclusion of your EMS Session, we will review your training and receive feedback. We will constantly be using this information to continue to customize your future workouts to help achieve your fitness goals. We will also discuss post workout recovery techniques that are very important when doing EMS training.

The Most Common Questions

We have answers, here are just a few questions that we get asked

EMS (Electro-Myo-Stimulation) originates from physical therapy. An electrode vest is worn, or electrodes are placed on the body to stimulate the muscles. EMS is a highly effective whole-body workout training program that can achieve a variety of muscular training goals. The combination of voluntary muscle tension and at the same time activating all the major muscle groups creates a completely different stimulus and training is therefore shorter and more intense.

Due to the full body activation and intensity of EMS training, sessions only need to be conducted 1x per week for 20 mins equaling the benefits of 2.5 hours of conventional strength training.

While whole-body electro-myo-stimulation (WB-EMS), or electro muscle stimulation training, itself shouldn’t be painful, you might experience some discomfort or soreness after a session, similar to what you might feel after a regular workout. We will give you several techniques to recover post training to minimize muscle soreness.
